TEHRAN (FNA) - Iranian Deputy Oil Minister Mansour Moazzami said leading international oil firms have voiced their enthusiasm for expanding cooperation with Iran to have more share in the country's lucrative oil market. "Most of the talks held with well-known international oil companies came due to their demands. No conclusion has yet been made on determining price of energy," Moazzamai said. "We have started good contacts with well-known international oil companies which are interested in investment in Iran. TEHRAN (FNA) - The Latest official statistics showed that the value of Iran’s Mercantile Exchange (IME) has increased by 60 percent in the last 9 months. “Our biggest reason for the past months’ recent success is because of Iran’s extreme increase in national production; our hottest commodities are industry and mine, petroleum, crude oil and agriculture,” said IME Deputy of Operations Mehrzad Namdari, Press TV reported. TEHRAN (FNA) - Hundreds of American, European and Asian energy firms are preparing to take part in the 10th International Energy Exhibition on Iran's Persian Gulf Kish Island in Southern Iran next week. More than 200 domestic and foreign companies from 20 countries, including the US, Russia, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Portugal, will take part in the event to be held in Kish on January 13-16. The companies participating in the Kish exhibition are from the oil, gas and petrochemical industries and the power sector, including Iran’s Power Industry Syndicate, Association of Iran’s Oil Industry Equipment Manufacturers and Association of Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Engineering and Contracting Companies. Euro Zone Unemployment Holds At Record High, Retail Sales Rebound
(Reuters) - Euro zone retail sales leapt in November even though unemployment remained at a record high, hinting at a pick up in consumer demand that would ease deflation worries and relieve pressure on the ECB to loosen policy. Data on Wednesday showed the biggest monthly jump for 12 years in retail sales, a proxy for household demand that has been weakened across the bloc by high rates of unemployment.
